Weddings The legal stuff

Our Process

Your Celebration, Fully Supported

Planning a wedding is exciting — and I’m here to take the stress out of the legal side so you can focus on the love, the laughter, and the memories. Together, we’ll make sure everything is smooth, simple, and stress-free.

Your Marriage, Your Day

Getting legally married has a few simple requirements — nothing complicated, I promise! I’ll guide you through every step so your focus stays on celebrating your love.

  • Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM): Lodged by me at least 30 days before your wedding. I handle all the forms, so you don’t have to worry.
  • Eligibility: Both parties must be over 18 and not already married. Simple as that!
  • Witnesses: Two friends or family members over 18. I’ll make sure they know exactly what to do.
  • Declaration Form 14: Completed together before your ceremony — making everything official and ready to go.

On Your Wedding Day

I take care of all the formalities so you can enjoy every moment. I’ll guide you through the legal words, ensure all paperwork is correct, and keep the ceremony flowing beautifully — all without you even noticing the stress.

Our First Meeting

Before your wedding, we’ll set up a relaxed chat (in person, Zoom, or by phone) to:

  • Discuss your vision, ideas, and ceremony style
  • Go through the legal requirements in a simple, friendly way
  • Begin shaping your perfect, personalised ceremony

No prep is needed — just bring your excitement and ideas!

STILL GOT QUESTIONS??

Q: Do we need witnesses for our ceremony?
A: Yes! Two friends or family members over 18 are all that’s required. Don’t worry — I’ll make sure they know exactly what to do on the day.

Q: When should we book our wedding?
A: As early as you can! Once your date is secured with a non-refundable deposit, it’s yours and yours alone. This ensures no other weddings will be booked on your day, and I can focus entirely on making your ceremony perfect.

Q: Can we personalize our ceremony?
A: Absolutely. Every ceremony I create is tailored to your story, style, and vibe. From readings and music to unique rituals, we can design a celebration that reflects who you are as a couple.

Q: Do you handle all the legal paperwork?
A: Yes! I’ll take care of your Notice of Intended Marriage, Declaration Form 14, and any other legal requirements. You won’t need to stress — I’ll guide you through every step.

Q: What if plans change on the day?
A: I’ve got it covered. I’ll coordinate with your vendors, family, and anyone involved so the ceremony stays smooth and relaxed — you just enjoy the moment.

Q: Can we have a small, intimate ceremony?
A: Absolutely! Whether it’s a micro wedding, an elopement, or a vow renewal, I’ll make sure the ceremony feels personal, heartfelt, and just right for your style and guest list.

Q: How do we prepare for our first meeting?
A: No prep is needed — just bring your ideas, questions, and excitement! Our chat is relaxed and fun, and it gives us a chance to get to know each other while starting to shape your perfect ceremony.

Q: Can you work with any location or venue?
A: Yes! I’ve officiated in a variety of venues, from gardens and beaches to boutique venues and private homes. If you can dream it, we can make it happen.

Your Celebration, Fully Supported
